June 24, 2013 “A Dream Land”

Every farmer who is serious about his business desires rich soil and plenty of water that guarantees a good harvest.  God promised such a land to Israel in Deuteronomy 11:10-12  “10 For the land which you go to possess is not like the land of Egypt from which you have come, where you sowed your seed and watered it by foot, as a vegetable garden; 11 but the land which you cross over to possess is a land of hills and valleys, which drinks water from the rain of heaven, 12 a land for which the Lord your God cares; the eyes of the Lord your God are always on it, from the beginning of the year to the very end of the year.”

In the spiritual realm the land is the heart of a city’s population.  In answer to prayer and the godly influence of Christ’s followers, our cities can become as revealed in this scripture text, a place where the Holy Spirit’s rain softens hearts and saturates the ground during growth and harvest seasons. Then God, as the Divine Gardener, cares for and watches over His spiritual planting in the hearts of men to produce good fruit.

The entire landscape and attitude of a city can change for the better. Prayer and influence can make your city a dream come true.
