Saturday October 26, 2013 “Consider One Another”

Hebrews 10:24-25 “24 And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, 25 not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.”
Pay attention to one another and consider the level of love and works of love we see in the lives of God’s people.
When some of the apostles desired to call down fire from heaven on people who rejected Jesus and his followers, His response was “NO, you don’t know what spirit you are of.”  When the Woman poured out her costly perfume on the Lord some people were upset at her good work.  Jesus’ response was, “leave her alone – you offered me no washing but she has washed my feet with her tears.”
Pray today that we who follow Jesus will be willing to speak truth into the lives of brother and sister Christians in such a way that they will see the underlying value of learning to love everyone, serving others and gathering together with like-minded believers.  The church is the visible Body of Christ and God’s power and purpose is revealed best as we gather in His name.
