Sunday November 17, 2013 “Let God Help”

This past week we have been praying according to Isaiah 41:13  13 For I, the Lord your God, will hold your right hand, Saying to you, ‘Fear not, I will help you.”
Tonight as we  join our hearts together in prayers of agreement between the hours of 6 and 9 pm (all time zones) let us take a couple of minutes to meditate upon the truths found in this word from heaven.
The words “Fear not” can be understood as both an encouragement and a command.  Because God holds our hand, we are in a place of safety and security. The Psalmist David wrote in Ps. 23  “I will fear no evil” when he considered the meticulous care of His Shepherd – God Almighty.  To fear when God says not to is to find one’s self in a place of disobedience.  God only blesses obedience.
Our focus on prayer tonight is for a revelation of what God offers in Is. 41 so as a nation we can “put our hand in the hand of the one who stills the water.”
1)    Pray that we will see God’s hand offered to assist us as He did with Israel of old when the Lord was ready to deliver His people from Egyptian bondage.
2)    Let us intercede tonight on the behalf of those in our nation who feel inadequate or unable to meet life’s challenges.  God says “I will help you.”  Pray that there be a moving of the Spirit of God through the land as it was in the early days of America when God spoke to our Fathers that he would help them and He did as people believed His word from Heaven.
3)    Many people have never experienced the strength of God in their weaknesses.  As we agree in prayer tonight let us ask the Lord to reveal His ability and man’s inability to face the problems in America today. The challenges are not too great for God to intervene.  In Genesis 49:24 the Bible says, “The arms of his hands were made strong by the hands of the mighty God of Jacob.”  With the firm grasp of God’s hand comes the impartation of God’s strength to be made perfect in our weaknesses.
Pray that the spirit of pride be broken in this land and that we experience God’s mighty deliverance from sin and fear that blocks the blessing of the Most High God.
