Tuesday Nov. 26, 2013 “And be Thankful”

Col. 3:15  “And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful.”
A friend of mine who has now entered his eternal reward. Jim was blind but he was a very thankful man. Once when he was at the school for the blind he met a man by the name of Henry Smith. Henry is the author of a beautiful song, “Give thanks with a grateful heart.”  Both Jim and Henry had peace with God through Jesus Christ. He ruled in their hearts.
If you, or someone close to you, is struggling with a difficult situations or circumstance in life, pray that during this Thanksgiving season that there be a revelation of peace and gratitude in every heart.
As you will gather in a couple of days with family and/or friends on Thanksgiving day, sow words and other expressions of peace with those you will share a meal with. James 3:18  tells us that peace sown will result in a harvest of righteousness and that will result in thanksgiving.
