Monday April 21, 2014 “Trial of Faith”

Nehemiah 6:10 “10 One day I went to the house of Shemaiah son of Delaiah, the son of Mehetabel, who was shut in at his home. He said, “Let us meet in the house of God, inside the temple, and let us close the temple doors, because men are coming to kill you—by night they are coming to kill you.”
Nehemiah suffered much as he fulfilled the will of God in his day. The many trials served as a refiner’s fire as with silver and the lapidary’s wheel to a diamond. The brightness of Nehemiah’s character was shining brighter every day.
He handled his difficulties as a runner who follows the rules. Nehemiah’s faith would come forth as gold as he trusted God.
Let us agree in prayer today that those who engage in the work of God for the restoration of our nation stand strong during times of testing. There are many opportunities to fail but God is able to keep us from falling. Jude 24. Pray for Pastors today.
