Wednesday April 23, 2014 “Fearless Faith”

Nehemiah 6:10-11 “10 One day I went to the house of Shemaiah son of Delaiah, the son of Mehetabel, who was shut in at his home. He said, “Let us meet in the house of God, inside the temple, and let us close the temple doors, because men are coming to kill you—by night they are coming to kill you. 11 But I said, “Should a man like me run away? Or should someone like me go into the temple to save his life? I will not go!”
Now as far as Nehemiah knew, Shemaiah was speaking truth but the man of God felt that he would dishonor the Lord to seek his own personal safety at the expense of his God-given work. Nehemiah slammed the door on ease and security. Cowardly fear must be struck head on with fearless faith.
May our prayer of agreement today include a petition to God that His remnant in America “Dare to be a Daniel” as we resist the temptation to hide when our light must shine brightest in the darkness of the depravity and evil that has so enveloped our land. Pray for our believing school teachers in America. They need fearless faith today.
