Wednesday December 31, 2014 “Satisfaction in Drought”
Isaiah 58:11 The LORD will guide you continually,
And satisfy your soul in drought, And strengthen your bones;
You shall be like a watered garden,
And like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.
Many years ago there was a great drought that caused a famine in ancient Egypt. God “sent” Joseph, son of Jacob, to Egypt to be a part of His plan to save His people Israel.
Joseph underwent much hardship yet he kept his focus on God and was used to “save” his family in the drought.
Pray that God’s people navigate through dry seasons of life in such a way that they do not curse God but turn to Him completely and let their family see God’s faithfulness in the end as Joseph experienced in God’s time and way. Not only will we be satisfied in time of drought but also our household will.
