Saturday April 11, 2015 “Beware”

Matthew 7:15 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves.”
In the original Greek beware comes from “prosecho” which means to “pay attention to, to be cautious about, take heed to.”  These all seem to be words of warning about being vigilant.  Jesus understood how destructive false prophets can be.  Their words can make one feel secure while being told a lie.
Pray in agreement today that all Christians, especially Pastors be vigilant in guarding the flock from these ravening wolves that Jesus warns against here in the Sermon on the Mount and in Matthew Chapter 24 where it is recorded that if possible even the elect (true believer) would be deceived in the last days before His return.
