Matthew 7:21-23 21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’

Welcome to the Sunday evening edition of We Are The People, where we gather to pray for America, the land we love. It is asked that partners invest a minimum of 15 minutes in intercession between the hours of 6 and 9 pm (all time zones). Jesus said, “If 2 would agree on earth the hand of the Father would move on our behalf.” There are many more than two praying tonight, so expect great things as we agree upon the 3 prayer focus points.
This past week we have been praying against the spirit of deception that comes with “Wolves in sheep’s clothing”. These false prophets convince many sheep to believe their lies with their persuasive words. This can happen in the realm of national leaders as well as those who pretend to be sheep in God’s Kingdom. Pray for both the nation and our churches this evening.
Thanks for joining and invite someone to join us soon.

Prayer Focus #1 Counterfeit voices distort truth in any arena. The message comes in the form of legalism, universalism, New Age syncretism, or any of the other “isms” like Communism, Socialism, etc.
Let us agree in prayer tonight that leaders in church and government be alert and discerning when it comes to the message of these ravening wolves that do not spare the flock.
Pray that leaders be not afraid to confront the voices that come to destroy what God has built. The wolf scatters, the shepherds unify the flock.
Prayer Focus #2 The ultimate verdict concerning false prophets comes from the Judge, not the disciples, as Jesus reveals in this text and in the parable of the “Wheat and Tares.”
Pray in agreement that the church have discernment as to how to handle individuals who bring false doctrine. Jesus said it is difficult to tell at times who these wolves are and we must take care not to pull out wheat with the tares. Pastors and leaders need wisdom from heaven so pray for them to receive and act on godly wisdom from above.
Prayer Focus #3 The main task is to make the message clear and relevant concerning the Kingdom of God and this nation. The Good News offers the best counter to misleading and destructive messages that the wolves, who care not for the flock, bring.
Pray that the Good News of the Bible and the Good News of the United States constitution and Amendments ring clear in the land of the free and home of the brave. Clarity is what keeps us on track as a people.
