Sunday June 28, 2015 “Heaven and Earth”

Psalm 115:16 “6 The heaven, even the heavens, are the LORD’s; But the earth He has given to the children of men.”
Welcome to the Sunday Night edition of “We are the People” prayer for America. Between the hours of 6 and 9 pm (all time zones) we join our hearts together in prayers of agreement for America. It is asked that you pray a minimum of 15 minutes concerning the three focus points below.
This week we have been praying according to the Psalms for our children on summer vacation. Tonight and the next few days we will continue in this direction leading up to Independence Day. Thanks for joining us tonight at WATP and invite friends to join us.
Prayer Focus #1: Pray that the people of America have a revelation of who our great Creator is as they look into the beautiful night sky. That there be an understanding that the heaven’s belong to God and all attempts to create a “Tower of Babel” in an effort to ascend to His level will be futile and lead to confusion and division among the people.
Prayer Focus #2: “The earth is given to the children of men.” Pray that our children and young adults on summer break take the time to seek the heart of God as to what their calling is in this great big world God has given to us. Also pray that parents be a part in developing a sense of ownership of this world in their children’s heart. “For the earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof.”
Prayer Focus #3: God has given this earth to the children of man. In Genesis Adam was told to care for and subdue the earth. Living in America there is so much opportunity to do these things told to our first human parents.  Please pray tonight that older Americans teach their children and grandchildren good stewardship over all that God has placed in our hands and that one day each one of us will give an account to God for what we have done with what we have been given by God.
Perhaps there will be opportunities this summer to demonstrate good stewardship concerning what you have. Something you have maintained and that has lasted many years makes a great example of how to care for what God has given to your family.
