Friday July 10, 2015 “Free to Serve”

Romans 6:18, 22  “18 And having been set free from sin, you became slaves of righteousness.  22 But now having been set free from sin, and having become slaves of God, you have your fruit to holiness, and the end, everlasting life.”
St. Paul makes it clear we have freedom so we might become servants.   This may sound contradictory to some but it is not.  Serving God is a joy.  The Book of Hebrews tells us that Jesus who is “servant of all” had the greatest joy of all His earthly companions.
Pray today that believer’s in America, we who have been liberated from sin’s power, will exercise their freedom and be the servants of righteousness who produce the fruit of the Spirit knowing that everlasting life is our goal and message.
