Monday July 13, 2015 “Prejudice”

Ephesians 4:10-13 “ He who descended is also the One who ascended far above all the heavens, that He might fill all things.) 11 And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, 12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, 13 till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ”
This week we will address in prayer God’s response to the 5 fold attack of the enemy on God’s people. We will cover one area of attack and response today through Friday.
God’s 5 fold response we will discover is the ministry gifts listed in Ephesians 4.
The first area of attack by the Evil one to disrupt or destroy the advancing church of Jesus Christ is prejudice. Prejudice is to pre-judge a person or situation without sufficient facts. Prejudice divides people. To destroy prejudice, God gives us the Apostolic gift.
In the Book of Acts, Peter and others had a prejudice against non-Jewish believers. In Acts chapter 15 at the Council of Jerusalem, James spoke with apostolic authority that broke the prejudicial spirit that was developing in the church.
Pray today that in every church there be apostolic voices lifted to bind the prejudicial spirits that are attempting to divide our nation. United we will stand, divided we will fall.
There are voices that are attempting to divide us as a nation. Pray that those mouths be stopped that work against unity.
