Sunday August 16, 2015 “The Lord Among His People”

Zechariah 2:12&13 12 And the LORD will take possession of Judah as His inheritance in the Holy Land, and will again choose Jerusalem. 13 Be silent, all flesh, before the LORD, for He is aroused from His holy habitation!”
Good evening and welcome to the Sunday Night Edition of “We are the People” prayer for America. Thank you for joining us as we offer prayers of agreement concerning 3 focus points of intercession.
Recently we have been following the Book of Zechariah as a guide. Tonight our focus is on God’s commitment to be with His people and the Lord’s response to every dissenting voice to His determination to be among His people and be their source and strength.
We encourage our partners to join us every day as we pray in unity for the church and this land we love. We ask that you invite others who have a love for God and America to join us. WeAreThePeople is one voice united in one purpose to see this “One Nation under God” return to her unique purpose to glorify God and influence the culture with righteousness and truth around the world.
Prayer Focus #1 Pray that God’s people be gathered together as one, understanding that they have been chosen as God’s portion in this land that is holy unto the Lord. Pray for hearts to be open to receive this revelation of the Holy Spirit. This will raise up a standard against Satan’s assault in the land to divide and weaken America.
Prayer Focus #2 Pray that all opposing voices to this unique call upon America be silenced before the Lord. Pray that there be a godly fear come upon people in America who reject God’s claim to this land for His purposes in these last days.
Prayer Focus #3 Let our intercession today be that God’s people sense that God has looked down upon America as He looked upon Israel recorded in Isaiah chapter 1. In our scripture text for today v.13 reads, “God has roused Himself from His Holy Dwelling.” He comes to search the hearts of men as it says in Isaiah Chapter 1 and He comes to transform and bless as He did with Jacob in Bethel the “House of God” in Genesis chapter 28.
Pray that believers have an understanding of God’s purification of the church today is meant to prepare us for the challenges we will face tomorrow as we enter a time Jesus called the “beginning of sorrows.”
