Sunday September 13, 2015 “Beginning and End”

Zechariah 4:7-9  “‘Who are you, O great mountain?  Before Zerubbabel you shall become a plain!  And he shall bring forth the capstone with shouts of “Grace, grace to it!  Moreover the word of the Lord came to me, saying: “The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this temple; His hands shall also finish it. Then you will know that the Lord of hosts has sent Me to you.”
Welcome to our Sunday night edition of “We are the People” intercession for our nation.  Every Sunday evening we agree on three prayer focus points in prayer.  It is asked that you invest a minimum of 15 minutes in prayers of agreement between the hours of 6 and 9pm (all time zones).
We also have a daily prayer blog and invite you to join us as we pray using the Book of Zechariah as a prayer guide.
Prayer Focus #1:  Yesterday we began to look at Zechariah 4:7 as a guide for prayer and we saw that through the power of God’s Spirit we can see the hindrances to God’s perfect will being accomplished pushed aside to make way for His purposes (the United States fulfilling its call to lead the way in world evangelization) becoming a reality in our day.  Today’s verses reveal that national leadership in the proper hands (like Zerubbabel) will bring the revelation that renewed blessing upon a land is by the hand of God not the will of man.
Pray today that all of God’s people will understand the value of God’s person being in leadership and that they use their influence to help others see this truth and that people vote what they believe to be God’s man or woman as in the days of Zechariah.
Prayer Focus #2:   Verse 9 reveals that Zerubbabel will set the foundation of the temple.  God’s person will not build on a faulty foundation but do the hard work of removing flawed systems and ideology that will not stand the test of time and storm.
Pray that our leaders in cities, states and national leaders be willing to be courageous leaders that will remove ungodly ideology and ways in America.
Prayer Focus #3:   “His hands will also finish it.”  Many people see themselves as but one link in a fence but we need leaders today who will work quickly to do God’s bidding quickly and complete the work.  Jesus revealed that in 3 ½ years He completed His work.  Let us pray that good leaders God is raising up will see that they can accomplish much through God’s Holy Spirit empowerment and His amazing grace.
