Sunday Oct 4, 2015 “The Branch”

Zechariah 6:12&13 Then speak to him, saying, ‘Thus says the LORD of hosts, saying:
“Behold, the Man whose name is the BRANCH! From His place He shall branch out,
And He shall build the temple of the LORD; 13 Yes, He shall build the temple of the LORD.
He shall bear the glory, And shall sit and rule on His throne;
So He shall be a priest on His throne, And the counsel of peace shall be between them both.”’
Welcome to our Sunday night edition of “We are the People” intercession for our nation. Every Sunday evening we agree on three prayer focus points in prayer. It is asked that you invest a minimum of 15 minutes in prayers of agreement between the hours of 6 and 9 pm (all time zones).
Thank you for joining us tonight for prayers of agreement and do invite others to join us as we call upon the Lord for this great land we love.
Look to “the Branch” the prophet is told and realize He will “branch out”, build the Temple, restore glory, rule as King and Priest whose Kingdom is one of Peace.
Prayer Focus #1 Pray tonight that Christians in America focus on Jesus and His desire to “branch out” and build His church in our day We must then seek the Lord and reach out to bring others into the fellowship of God’s people.
Prayer Focus #2 Our scripture text today says that the “branch” will hear the glory. Jesus prayed in John Chap 17 that the glory He and the Father shares, we would have also. Let us pray in agreement tonight that the church in America see that God’s will is for His glory to rest upon His church. Seeing that this is God’s will, let us pursue that in our worship and lifestyle as believers. This will bring God’s presence into the world around us.
Prayer Focus #3 The “Branch”, Christ Jesus, we are told will be one who rules and intercedes from His throne to bring words of peace.
Let us pray in agreement tonight that as our King of Kings, Jesus, rules and intercedes, that we, His Body, will take on part of that divine nature as we “stand in the gap” for the life of our nation.
