Sunday December 20, 2015 “God’s Weapon”

Zechariah 9:13 For I have bent Judah, My bow, Fitted the bow with Ephraim, And raised up your sons, O Zion,
Against your sons, O Greece, And made you like the sword of a mighty man.”
Welcome to the Sunday Night edition of “We are the People” prayer for America. We publish a daily prayer blog and on Sunday Evenings 6-9 pm (all time zones) it is asked that all intercessors pray for a minimum of 15 minutes in prayers of agreement concerning three focus points listed in our Sunday blog.
Recently we have been using the Book of Zechariah as a prayer guide. Yesterday we began to look at Zech. 9:13 where God uses His people as a bow and arrow, a precision weapon against forces of evil intent in the days of the Prophet. “There is nothing new under the sun” so thank you for coming along in the journey of prayer with us tonight as we discover three more ways God can help us pray America back to greatness. Consider using your social networks to increase the number of people praying in agreement with us every Sunday evening.
Have a blessed Christmas Holiday Celebration!
Focus #1 God raised up sons of Zion to be warriors and champions of God. Let us pray that young men and women hear the call of God to fulfil that same calling in our day to challenge the voices of evil, compromise, hatred, injustice and financial mismanagement that has come against America in recent years.
Focus #2 God addresses one of the enemies of His people (Greece). My children will be against your children. For far
too long there has been an inactivity on the part of God’s people to stop the influence of evil in America. The results are disastrous and threaten future generations.
Pray today that Christians in America “step up” to the challenge of demonic forces that threaten the very existence of the America we know and love. When the enemies of God realized that they were up against God Himself as Israel, and later the Early Church, moved forward in righteousness, they feared and trembled. This can happen in America in our day. Rise up!
Focus #3 God made His people like the sword of a mighty man. In the Bible story of Gideon the Judge, the man of God in battle of impossible odds against Midian cried out “The sword of the Lord and Gideon.” He realized that his small army of 300 alone was no match for 120,000 enemies. He wanted to be God’s instrument of battle. Pray that the church in America come to the place where we see the odds are slim but we are in the hand of God to defeat unrighteousness in the land.
