Matthew 2:11 And when they had come into the house, they saw the young Child with Mary His mother, and fell down and worshiped Him. And when they had opened their treasures, they presented gifts to Him: gold, frankincense, and myrrh.
It is always nice to give and receive gifts at Christmas, however to give one‘s self to another along with the gift is even better. Time spent with others, kind words and warm hugs are priceless.
The first Christmas story is about people first, gifts later. Pray today that Christians share the real meaning of Christmas with others especially shut-ins who need to know that God cares about his own. Don’t just drop gifts and run. The presence of Jesus is with you so share His love that draws men to the one we worship.
