Sunday December 27, 2015 “When God’s In It”

Zechariah 9:14 Then the LORD will be seen over them,
And His arrow will go forth like lightning. The Lord GOD will blow the trumpet,
And go with whirlwinds from the south.
Now that Christmas has come and gone for most of Christianity, we at “We are the People” return to our journey through the Book of Zechariah as we discover points of prayer in these sacred words.
We welcome you to tonight’s Sunday Night Edition when we ask that you join us in prayers of agreement for a minimum of 15 minutes between the hours of 6 and 9 pm (all time zones). May the Lord bless you as we “stand in the gap” in intercession for America “one nation under God.”
Last Sunday evening we prayed using Zechariah 9:13 as a guide. In that verse we discovered that God would use His children as a bow and arrow and like a sword against His enemies. Tonight we see how powerful that weapon is when God is involved in the battle.
Prayer Focus #1 “The Lord will be seen over His people. Wow! Let this word picture be in your mind and heart – the great Creator God “over us” as we are in His hand to execute justice in the land.
Pray that this be a confidence builder and encouragement to God’s people in America who are engaged in conflict with forces of darkness that are attempting to bring ideas of men and demons into the land to replace our rule of law based on God’s Holy Word. God covers us under His wings as a mother hen her chicks.
Prayer Focus #2 “His arrow goes forth like lightning”. In verse 13 of Zechariah 9, Ephraim the youngest son of Joseph to his Egyptian wife was identified as God’s arrow.
Pray that the younger generation of Christians in America capture in their hearts the battle for America’s Judeo-Christian heritage and use technology that works at lightning speed to influence their peers with the truth of God’s Word and keeping our Constitution and rule of law intact in this day of change and unrighteous experimentation with human behavior.
Prayer Focus #3 “The Lord will blow the trumpet” – signaling the troops and “go with whirlwinds.” In Naham 1:3 we are told that God has His way in the whirlwind and in the Book of Job we are told that God spoke out of the whirlwind to Job with answers from heaven. Let us agree in prayer tonight that all of the church hear God’s clarion call to His people and join Him in His battle against the forces of evil in our world today. At times it seems that the whirlwind is so destructive but God works in the storms to speak to man about a better way – even a more excellent way through love based on truth that builds up not men’s fables that lead to destruction and hell.
