Sunday April 3, 2016 Weekly Prayer Focus

Zechariah 13:7-8 “Awake, O sword, against My Shepherd, against the Man who is My Companion,” says the Lord of hosts.  “Strike the Shepherd, and the sheep will be scattered; Then I will turn My hand against the little ones.  And it shall come to pass in all the land,” says the Lord, “That two-thirds in it shall be cut off and die,
But one–third shall be left in it.
The Lord is saying that judgement will come to the leaders who are called to so lead so that blessing will come to all of the land.
Good evening and welcome to our Sunday Night Edition of “We Are the People” prayer for America.  We are so glad you have chosen to join us during this time of intercession.  On Sunday it is asked that you invest a minimum of 15 minutes in prayers of agreement following the 3 focus points listed below.  It is asked that if at all possible that your prayers be offered between the hours of 6 and 9 pm (all time zones) so as to join your prayers with others across the nation.
Prayer Focus #1:  A sword of division will be raised against the shepherds.  Pray that those who have not or will not be good stewards of the office they desire be removed and their followers be scattered and ineffective in guiding our nation in unrighteous paths.
Prayer Focus #2:  God’s hand will be against the little ones.  These are those who seem to be small in influence but they are a formidable force if united in efforts that are contrary to God’s ways in the land.  Pray that there will be a move of God that causes opponents of the righteous to be ineffective in their efforts that appeal to human reasoning.
Prayer Focus #3:  As with any move of God some will experience the power and persuasiveness of the Holy Spirit and repent and others will harden their hearts like Pharaoh in ancient Egypt.  Pray that people repent as God moves on the hearts of those who oppose Him like with Jonah and Ninevah.
