Tuesday May 31, 2016 “Compassionate Touch”

Matthew 9:36-38    But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd. 37 Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. 38 Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.”
Yesterday we turned to Memorial Day for our prayer focus. Today we return to our focus on intercession for the salvation of our family, friends and fellow Americans.
The above verses reveal many ways to pray for a spiritual awakening in the land we love. Today, we see that Jesus had compassion on the multitude.  This is where it all begins. If our heart is filled with the feeling of others’ infirmities, the rest of the process falls into place.
Pray today that Christians in America see the distress among our fellow citizens and be a part of God’s healing the hurting with words of encouragement.
