Wednesday June 1, 2016 “Hope for the Depressed”

Matthew 9:36-38    But when He saw the multitudes, He was moved with compassion for them, because they were weary and scattered, like sheep having no shepherd. 37 Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. 38 Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.”
Jesus said people were “downcast” which means depressed.  We live in a time of much depression among our fellow citizens. Let us pray today that God’s people be prepared to bring a word of hope to people who find themselves hopeless due to the prevailing economic and other woes in America today.
