Sunday June 12, 2016 “It’s About Time”

Ecclesiastes 3:1  “To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven:”
Welcome to the Sunday evening edition of “We Are The People” prayer for America. Every Sunday night from 6-9 pm (all time zones) we bring our hearts together for a minimum of 15 minutes in intercession of agreement concerning three focus points we use as a guide.
Thanks for joining us every Sunday and daily when we agree in prayer on one point in prayer for America.  Invite others to join us this week.
Our focus tonight is on time and how time is an important element to God’s will being done on earth as it is in heaven.
Focus #1  Jesus, who is God from eternity past, stepped into time as we know it being born of the virgin Mary over 2000 years ago. In the Greek New Testament “time”, as we read it, had various expressions in that language.  One was chronos or simply chronological time.
Jesus grew up as any normal child the Book of John tells us. He grew in stature, wisdom and favor.
There are some things in life that must simply “run their course.  That can be as simple as “growing up” or issues of weather, finances etc.  Seasons can change.
Let us pray that we as believers will have wisdom on issues that must mature to bring forth fruit. It is so easy to get frustrated trying to get things to change before their time. Another point is if a person is born prematurely there is much struggle for survival. Plant seeds and let God bring about the natural cycles of growth in American families and future.
Focus #2  Another Greek word for time is Kairos which describes a strategic or opportune time – a window of opportunity. The prophet Samuel was given miraculously to Hannah at a very strategic time to bring the nation out of depravity and destruction.
Let us pray in agreement tonight that Christians in America will see this Kairos moment we live in and take advantage of every timely opportunity to restore greatness to the church and America.
Focus #3  The final word for time we will use for a prayer guide tonight is pleroo which means fullness of time.  Galations 4:4  Jesus, the Messiah, came in the fullness of time. To everything there is a time and a purpose. God waited from the fall of man – all the way to Bethlehem to bring the promised seed of the woman to provide the perfect sacrifice for sin.
Pray today that we not see delays as reluctance on God’s part but wisdom for timing that brings the greatest impact.
