Sunday August 7, 2016 “Shaped, Empowered and Saved”

Numbers 23:3  “…the Lord will come to meet me…”
Good evening and welcome to We Are the People Intercessory Prayer for America.  Every Sunday evening we gather between the hours of 6 pm and 9 pm (all time zones) to invest a minimum of 15 minutes in prayer using the three focus points below. Prayers of agreement are powerful according to Jesus (when two or more agree on earth).
Thank you for joining us and do invite others to pray with us every Sunday night. There are also 1 point prayer points daily on this site.
Focus #1  Jesus met with 12 Apostles to shape them into men that God could use to begin a movement to change the world. That movement is the church and we continue that transformational work of God.
Pray that there be groups of people that will bind themselves together in mutual support and encouragement.  We will then have confidence and commitment to the mission the church must fulfil, for Jesus is coming soon.
Focus #2  The Holy Spirit empowered about 120 people in an upper room in Jerusalem on the Day of Pentecost. The average American church is about 100 members. Just think of what might happen if there were 120 people in every church who would receive the power of the Holy Spirit.
Pray that there will be many in every church who will ask God to fill them with the power from on high.  Then cities and the nation would be set right-side up once again by their influence.
Focus #3  God met 1 lame man at a Temple Gate and  healed him through Peter and John who were described in their day as ignorant and unlearned men. The result 5,000 people turned to Christ.
Pray tonight that there be boldness and confidence in the church to go out and pray for the infirm and sick with faith in Jesus’ Name.  God has 5,000 in every city who will believe.
