Sunday, September 4, 2016 “Sitting Comfortably”

Matthew 4:16  16 “The people who sat in darkness have seen a great light, and upon those who sat in the region and shadow of death light has dawned.”
When people sit they are comfortable where they are and they enjoy their company.
Good evening and welcome to the Sunday night edition of We are the People Prayer for America.  Every Sunday night we bring our prayers together focusing on three points listed below.  It is asked that you invest a minimum of 15 minutes in intercession between the hours of 6:00 and 9:00p.m.  May God richly bless you for your heart for America and commitment to God’s Kingdom coming to earth as it is in heaven through these prayers of agreement.
Prayer Focus #1:  Pray that those sitting in darkness will not be satisfied with living in darkness.  Pray that their discomfort will increase and cause them to seek for the light of God’s love and Word.
Prayer Focus #2:  Pray that those sitting in the shadow of death (those who live in the areas just outside areas of great darkness) will cease to sit and be satisfied with sitting in the shadows.  Pray that they will sense the Holy Spirit’s prompting to engage in spiritual warfare against “rulers of darkness” that have captivated many just outside their comfort zones.
Prayer Focus #3:  Pray that those who sit back and tolerate the darkness begin to discern good from evil and right from wrong.  There must be the enlightenment of the Holy Spirit that will awaken the hearts of men to the traps set by the evil one to destroy the weak or unlearned in America.  The deceitfulness of the gradual is the greatest enemy of man.
