Sunday October 23, 2016 “The Greater One”

I John 4:4 “You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.”
Good evening and welcome to the Sunday Evening Edition of “We Are The People.  Tonight we will focus our thoughts and prayers on the 3 prayer points listed below.
It is asked that you invest a minimum of 15 minutes between the hours of 6 and 9 pm (all time zones) praying for America, the land we love.
Please use your influence to bring more intercessors into the WATP prayer movement. These are pivotal times in American history and we must call on the God of heaven that our future bend be toward righteousness and keeping with our constitutional principles of life, liberty and justice.
Thank you for joining us this evening.
Prayer Focus #1  Numbers 13:30   Then Caleb quieted the people before Moses, and said, “Let us go up at once and take possession, for we are well able to overcome it.”
Joshua and Caleb possessed a “can do” attitude. Yes, they saw the giants of Canaan land but by faith they saw the bigness of their God and that the rewards were well worth the battle.
Pray that Christians in America will see the opportunities and the rewards of a blessed future for themselves and their children if they persevere. Joshua and Caleb faced many challenges fighting the Amorites and Canaanites but they knew that the greater one was with them.
Prayer Focus #2  Matthew 19:26   But Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”
Pray tonight that we who are believers will understand that the plotting and the schemes of men will fail.  But God’s intentions for our nation are not only possible but a sure thing when we partner with He who is the Almighty God in turning America back to God and His righteousness.
“With God all things are possible.”
Prayer Focus #3  Philippians 4:13   I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
Paul wrote to the Roman church “He who spared not His own Son will give us all things.”  Those “all things” include the weaponry of Ephesians Chapter 6 “whole armor of God.”
Pray tonight that there be a stirring in the hearts of all American Christians that will cause us to rise up in humble,  yet confident faith that declares to the nation, “We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us.”  The people of God must lead the nation out of sin, apathy and confusion, rising above the fray of human division and inability to find enduring answers to the problems America faces today.
