Monday October 24, 2016 “Attitude Adjustment”

Jonah 3:4 10, 4:1 “And Jonah began to enter the city on the first day’s walk. Then he cried out and said, “Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown!” 10 Then God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God relented from the disaster that He had said He would bring upon them, and He did not do it. But it displeased Jonah exceedingly, and he became angry.”
Jonah was not excited about God pardoning Ninevah and sparing them from destruction. Jesus wept over Jerusalem when he considered the facts about their future because the people rejected God’s love and forgiveness.
Could American believers delay the mercies of God on our land because we have a spirit like Jonah’s?
Let us pray that Christians in America will weep over the rejection of Jesus by the masses and ask God to give us His heart of love for the Christ-haters in our nation. We need a right spirit to experience God’s best. Remember what happened with Jonah and the whale due to Jonah’s attitude.
