Sunday October 30, 2016 “Seeing the Invisible and Doing the Impossible”

Luke 4:18-19 18 “The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor.  He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free, 19 to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”
Good evening and welcome to “We are the People” prayer movement for America’s future.  On Sunday evenings it is asked that partners pray for a minimum of 15 minutes interceding using the three focus points listed below.
Please invite others to join us in turning America back to the one true God through prayer, influence and testimony.  Thank you for being a part of God’s intention to  cover the United States with His glory.  Through prayer impossibility becomes possible.
Prayer Focus #1:  That the church and our government will operate under the power of God to share Good News with the poor is our prayer tonight.  There are principles found in God’s word that will liberate people from the enslavement of poverty and dependence on others.  Pray that the people of God and our government will work toward helping others be self-sufficient that will give them a genuine self-esteem.  Also pray that our nation becomes financially responsible before we are so burdened by debt that others will become poor.
Prayer Focus #2:  Jesus desires for broken hearts to be healed.  Let us pray that hearts will be healed as people look to Him for restoration of relationships as forgiveness flows from the heart of Jesus.  Divorce creates much pain in adults and children’s lives.  Pray that people will allow God’s grace to move in their lives.
Prayer Focus #3:  Jesus proclaimed the acceptable year of the Lord. This means what is the preferred state of a land set apart for God.  Pray that God’s people have a renewed vision through the lens of God’s word which is truth. It is so easy to get discouraged when looking at the state of conditions in America and not look at the promise of a hope and a future and what can be when God is guiding our leaders through faith and courage.
