Thursday December 22, 2016 “Fear and Excitement”

Luke 2:8-9, 15   Now there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night. And behold, an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone 15 So it was, when the angels had gone away from them into heaven, that the shepherds said to one another, “Let us now go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has come to pass, which the Lord has made known to us.” around them, and they were greatly afraid.
The  shepherd’s fear turned into wonder and excitement about the angel’s visit and the birth of Christ.
Today let us agree in prayer that fears people have concerning family members and friends they will encounter will be dispelled and give way to faith. Christians must not cower at the possibility of others attacking their religious or political views. Prayerful preparation can make way to telling others about Jesus like the shepherds did.
