Galatians 4:4-7  But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons.  And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, “Abba, Father!” Therefore you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.
Good Evening and Merry Christmas!  Welcome to the Sunday Evening Edition of “We Are The People” prayer initiative for America.  It is asked that our partners invest a minimum of 15 minutes in prayers of agreement between the hours of 6 and 9 pm (all time zones).  Please use the three prayer points listed below as a guide.
Thank you for joining us tonight and we appreciate your prayers for this land we love.  God bless you and your family this holiday season and in the New Year to come.
Prayer Focus #1  v.4 says that, “in the fullness of the time” God sent His Son.  Christmas was a perfect time for the Messiah to come.      I don’t know if you noticed or not but people are wishing one another a Merry Christmas!” in the public square. Perhaps this is one of those “perfect times” to recapture this American tradition that was lost due to political correctness.
Pray this Christmas Day that believers in America will be the first to wish everyone they meet a Merry Christmas
and that we once again use words like “God Bless You” and other words that will remind people there is a God and we need His blessing in our nation.
Prayer Focus #2   v.5  tells us that Christmas is about redemption. To redeem is to “Buy back.”   In America we need to “buy back” who we once were as a people.
Let us agree in prayer tonight that all Americans become acquainted with who we are as a people through familiarization with our history and the faith of our founding fathers.
Prayer Focus #3  v.6 reveals the truth that God is our Father and we are His children through faith in Jesus Christ.
Pray this evening as we celebrate the Incarnation that we all have a fresh revelation of the fact that we are children of God if we have faith in Jesus Christ.  As children of God according to v.7 we are joint heirs with Jesus Christ.  We are  loved, provided for and cared for – let His goodness shine through you.
