Sunday June 11, 2017 “Hear My Prayer, O God”

1 Kings 8:28  28 Yet regard the prayer of Your servant and his supplication, O Lord my God, and listen to the cry and the prayer which Your servant is praying before You today.
Good evening and welcome to the Sunday Night Edition of “We are the People” prayer for America.  Every Sunday we bring together the hearts of intercessors that choose to invest a minimum of 15 minutes in prayers of agreement between the hours of 6:00 and 9:00 p.m. using the three focus points listed below as a guide.  May God bless you for your concern for America’s future expressed in prayer this night.  We encourage you to join us in prayer daily and invite others to join us.
Prayer Focus #1:  “Regard my prayer and supplication,” said King Solomon to God.  Solomon understood that prayer unheard is nothing more than venting frustrations.  Pray in agreement tonight that believer’s in America will not see prayer as just getting things off their shoulders.  True, faith-filled prayer is inviting our Creator into the affairs of our nation.
Prayer Focus #2:  God: “Listen to my cry and my prayer.”  It is OK to cry out to the Lord when trouble surrounds us.  However our cry unto the Lord must be framed as part of our prayers.
Pray that as a nation we will cry out to the Lord because of the unrighteousness we see in America.  We can then pray prayers of faith that will bring divine intervention and hope for the future.
Prayer Focus #3:  Solomon said, “Listen to the prayer I pray today.”  Pray that more people will make a habit of daily prayer.  When we pray every day we will not have to fear the day or the future.
“We are the People” is one way of having ideas – how we can pray every day for America.
