Sunday June 18, 2017 “O God, Hear and Act”

1 Kings 8:31-32 31 “When anyone sins against his neighbor, and is forced to take an oath, and comes and takes an oath before Your altar in this temple,32 then hear in heaven, and act, and judge Your servants, condemning the wicked, bringing his way on his head, and justifying the righteous by giving him according to his righteousness.
Good evening and welcome to the Sunday Night Edition of “We are the People” prayer for America.  Every Sunday we bring together the hearts of intercessors that choose to invest a minimum of 15 minutes in prayers of agreement between the hours of 6:00 and 9:00 p.m. using the three focus points listed below as a guide.  May God bless you for your concern for America’s future expressed in prayer tonight.  We encourage you to join us in prayer daily and invite others to join us.
Happy Father’s Day!  I trust our men will be honored across America today and always.
There is the bar of human judicial service among the nations but here King Solomon speaks of heavenly justice.  There are no split decisions among the Eternal Godhead, so Solomon’s plea is for God to act and to bring about justice in the earth.  So let us focus our prayers today in that direction.
Prayer Focus #1:  The Bible says God can turn the heart of a king.  The first step for man is to come before the one who is an earthly judge in humility – as a man should come before the Lord as was done in Solomon’s day.
Let us pray that there will be a spirit of humility among Americans that will find people seeking truth and righteousness before God and man, so His will is done on earth as it is in heaven.  Righteousness will lift up the nation.
Prayer Focus #2: The Bible says that God is angry at the wicked every day.  Their actions are an abomination to God and to man.  The wicked also corrupt the innocent and unlearned people.
Let us pray today that the judicial system in America will bring justice to the wicked – bringing his ways upon his head.  God knows the bent of every heart and until there is repentance, the Lord must work through human systems to help transgressors turn from their ways.
Prayer Focus #3: The King acknowledges that sometimes the righteous are unjustly accused and convicted.  Pray that those in authority will make decisions that will justify the innocent and that God will bless the righteous that are persecuted for doing right and exonerated by the court of man as God does from heaven.
God bless you and thank you for being a part of this prayer movement that believes in the power of intercession to change America by His principles being applied through human systems of justice.
