Tuesday July 4, 2017 “A Day of Independence”

1 Kings 8:39-40  39 then hear in heaven Your dwelling place, and forgive, and act, and give to everyone according to all his ways, whose heart You know (for You alone know the hearts of all the sons of men), 40 that they may fear You all the days that they live in the land which You gave to our fathers.
King Solomon petitioned the Lord to forgive the erring hearts of his people so they might fear the Lord in the land God gave to their forefathers.
Pray that there be a spirit of repentance and forgiveness that will fall upon our land that will result in the fear of the Lord.  When that happens people will realize that it truly is in God that we trust and have hope.  Our forefathers had a desire for freedom and fearing the Lord more than the king.  When they acted upon that they discovered the true liberty we have in being free from the power of sin and the freedom to love God and our fellow man.
“Happy Independence Day!”
