Sunday September 10, 2017 “A 20 Year Focus”

1 Kings 9:10&11   Now it happened at the end of twenty years, when Solomon had built the two houses, the house of the Lord and the king’s house 11 (Hiram the king of Tyre had supplied Solomon with cedar and cypress and gold, as much as he desired), that King Solomon then gave Hiram twenty cities in the land of Galilee.
Good evening and welcome to the Sunday Night Edition of “We are the People” prayer for America.  Every Sunday we bring together the hearts of intercessors that choose to invest a minimum of 15 minutes in prayers of agreement between the hours of 6:00 and 9:00 p.m. using the three focus points listed below as a guide.  May God bless you for your concern for America’s future expressed in prayer this night.  We encourage you to join us in prayer daily and invite others to join us.
Since the beginning of 2017 we have followed in 1 Kings the account of the beginning of Solomon’s reign as King of Israel.  Tonight we continue to use this book of the Bible as a prayer guide.  God bless you as you intercede with us on the behalf of America.
It takes  great focus for a people to remain faithful to a vision for 20 years. King Solomon and the people were committed to the projects of building a house for God and a house for the national leadership.
Prayer Focus #1  Let us pray today that America remain focused and committed to the plan of God to restore and revive His church and the government, military and economy of our great nation.
Prayer Focus #2  God gave Israel peace during this time of restoration. Pray that America be at peace as we rebuild the spiritual foundations and the culture and ethics of our great land. Pray against the spirits that bring distraction and a lack of focus to the people of God.
Prayer Focus #3  Solomon gave to  King Hiram and His people of  Tyre 20 cities because of the good they had done for Israel.
Pray that America never forget the good other nations have done for us. Being blessed we are expected to be a blessing to others as God told the Father of our faith Abraham. However, we must use wisdom in how much we bless and what we bless our allies with.
