Sunday October 22, 2017 “God Delighted in Him”

1 Kings 10:9   “Blessed be the Lord your God, who delighted in you, setting you on the throne of Israel! Because the Lord has loved Israel forever, therefore He made you king, to do justice and righteousness.”
Good evening and welcome to the Sunday Night Edition of “We are the People” prayer for America.  Every Sunday we bring  together the hearts of intercessors that choose to invest a minimum of 15 minutes in prayers of agreement between the hours of 6 and 9 pm using the three focus points listed below as a guide.  May God bless you for your concern for America’s future expressed in prayer this night.  We encourage you to join us in prayer daily and invite others to join us.
We are skipping over v.8 for now as we go through 1 Kings. We will return to it soon.  For tonight v.9 provides 3 powerful prayer points – here goes:
Prayer Focus #1  The Lord delighted in Solomon.  Now Solomon was not a perfect man but the Lord was happy with him.  As with us all, President Trump is not a perfect man. However, God was pleased to make him our president.  Let us pray that all Americans will accept the fact             the President Trump is our legitimate leader.
Prayer Focus #2  God loved Israel and for that reason, he made Solomon King.
Many people prayed for God’s favor upon His choice of President and other leaders prior to the election last Fall.
Let us pray that we will remember that fact and whether we agree with it or not – it was because God loves us He made these people leaders who will govern over the next years.
Prayer Focus #3 God made Solomon king in his day so that he could do justice and righteousness in the land.
Pray that President Trump will realize that this is also God’s call upon his life in our day for America.  For righteousness shall exalt the nation and one of the things God loves is justice.
