Sunday December 3, 2017 “Import/Export”

1 Kings 10:29    Now a chariot that was imported from Egypt cost six hundred shekels of silver, and a horse one hundred and fifty; and thus, through their agents, they exported them to all the kings of the Hittites and the kings of Syria.
Good evening and welcome to the Sunday Night Edition of “We are the People” prayer for America.  Every Sunday we bring  together the hearts of intercessors that choose to invest a minimum of 15 minutes in prayers of agreement between the hours of 6 and 9 pm using the three focus points listed below as a guide.  May God bless you for your concern for America’s future expressed in prayer this night.  We encourage you to join us in prayer daily and invite others to join us.
The chariots and horses were costly and were used to transport leaders of nations. They were used primarily as instruments of war.  Solomon made a business out of purchasing and the resale of the horse and chariot.  Ps. 20:7 tells us that “some trust in chariots and some in horses but we will remember the Name of the Lord our God.”
Prayer Focus #1 Pray that America will turn to God as our shield and defense in this time of international tension.  Our confidence cannot be found in our war machinery alone.
Prayer Focus #2  Pray that our government and government contractors will procure the best items available to best protect and arm our military personnel.
Prayer Focus #3  Pray that our government be wise in approving export items. We must not jeopardize our security because of unwise sale of goods and services in the international market. Israel did this at times and reaped the consequences in future generations.
