Sunday December 17, 2017 “One God, One Capital”

1 Kings 11:7 &8  “Then Solomon built a high place for Chemosh the abomination of Moab, on the hill that is east of Jerusalem, and for Molech the abomination of the people of Ammon. And he did likewise for all his foreign wives, who burned incense and sacrificed to their gods.”
Good evening and welcome to the Sunday Night Edition of “We are the People” prayer for America.  Every Sunday we bring  together the hearts of intercessors that choose to invest a minimum of 15 minutes in prayers of agreement between the hours of 6 and 9 pm using the three focus points listed below as a guide.  May God bless you for your concern for America’s future expressed in prayer this night.  We encourage you to join us in prayer daily and invite others to join us.
Solomon compromised his true faith in the one true God. This was breaking God’s command “to have no other god beside Me.”
Prayer Focus #1  Solomon’s compromise was for favor with other nations – Moab and Ammon.  Pray tonight for our President and other national leaders that they will not compromise their faith or principles clearly revealed in the Bible for favor with other nations.
Prayer Focus #2  Solomon also compromised for individuals (his foreign wives). Pray that our leaders and our population as a whole will refuse to be influenced by individuals who are under the power of evil spirits whose work is to seduce true believers into a belief that there can be hybrid faith that erroneously mixes truth with a lie. Pray that the pillars of our nation remain firmly established as God’s Holy Word.
Prayer Focus #3  Solomon built places of worship to “foreign” gods outside of Jerusalem, Israel’s capital city, where the Temple and the presence of God dwelled. Let us pray that our President’s commitment to Jerusalem being acknowledged as Israel’s capital be a success and as we move our Embassy to Jerusalem that there be safety and acceptance of its move to its rightful place.
