Wednesday December 20, 2017 “Stay Clear of false gods”

1 Kings 11:9-10   So the Lord became angry with Solomon, because his heart had turned from the Lord God of Israel, who had appeared to him twice, 10 and had commanded him concerning this thing, that he should not go after other gods; but he did not keep what the Lord had commanded.
It seems that God’s appearance to Solomon was to warn the king to stay away from false gods.
Let us pray that our leaders in Washington will not chase after the “gods” of popularity, flattery or financial benefit. Pray that they experience the blessing of the promise of seeking the Lord first and His righteousness and all things being added to their lives they really need.
