Sunday January 14, 2018 “Beware the Enemies”

1 Kings 11:22-23 22 Then Solomon stood before the altar of the Lord in front of the whole assembly of Israel, spread out his hands toward heaven 23 and said: “Lord, the God of Israel, there is no God like you in heaven above or on earth below—you who keep your covenant of love with your servants who continue wholeheartedly in your way.
Good evening and welcome to the Sunday Night Edition of “We are the People” prayer for America.  Every Sunday we bring  together the hearts of intercessors that choose to invest a minimum of 15 minutes in prayers of agreement between the hours of 6 and 9 pm using the three focus points listed below as a guide.  May God bless you for your concern for America’s future expressed in prayer this night.  We encourage you to join us in prayer daily and invite others to join us.
One alliance against Solomon dissolved and another adversary arose against Israel. It is natural to lower one’s guard when they see a crack in the Armor of an enemy but that can prove to be a disastrous move. So tonight we pray:
Prayer Focus #1 A sudden move by Hadad led him to separate from Pharaoh of Egypt. When this happens on the world stage it doesn’t always mean something good is happening. At times our enemies can be under the wing of a greater power that keeps them in check, so we must pray that wisdom will guide our diplomatic moves in dealing with rogue nations in our world today.
Prayer Focus #2 At times it is not what one lacks that will cause nations to make a move in the world community. Pray that our leaders in Washington will know the difference between countries that are desirous of independence or if they have desires that if pursued can disrupt many relationships in the world community. Pray that we will know the difference and who we shall support.
Prayer Focus #3 There is always one more enemy waiting in the wings. There are national, international, financial enemies, etc. that will try to bring distractions to decision-makers as to what must be dealt with next. Pray that our leaders will not jump into “New” adversaries but they will have wisdom as to what to handle today and how much time to devote to each challenge.
