Monday April 23, 2018 “Staying the Course”

1 Kings 13:15-17 15 Then he said to him, “Come home with me and eat bread.” 16 And he said, “I cannot return with you nor go in with you; neither can I eat bread nor drink water with you in this place.  17 For I have been told by the word of the Lord, ‘You shall not eat bread nor drink water there, nor return by going the way you came.’”
The man of God “stuck to his guns.” This revealed a commitment to the word of God.  He knew what God said and how his “new way home” the man of God refused to change course (for the time being).
Pray that people who are elected to public office will “stay the course” while serving their terms of office and serve their constituency well.
