Sunday, August 5, 2018 “The Battle”

1 Kings 15:29-32 And it was so, when he became king, that he killed all the house of Jeroboam. He did not leave to Jeroboam anyone that breathed, until he had destroyed him, according to the word of the Lord which He had spoken by His servant Ahijah the Shilonite, 30 because of the sins of Jeroboam, which he had sinned and by which he had made Israel sin, because of his provocation with which he had provoked the Lord God of Israel to anger.
31 Now the rest of the acts of Nadab, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel? 32 And there was war between Asa and Baasha king of Israel all their days.
Good evening and welcome to the Sunday Night Edition of “We are the People” prayer for America. Every Sunday we bring together the hearts of intercessors that choose to invest a minimum of 15 minutes in prayers of agreement between the hours of 6 and 9 pm using the three focus points listed below as a guide. May God bless you for your concern for America’s future expressed in prayer tonight. We encourage you to join us in prayer and invite others to join us.
Remembering that our battles are against spiritually wicked forces that influence people, let us pray against those forces of darkness tonight.
Prayer Focus #1: The scripture reveals there was a continued battle for Baasha during his reign. Pray that godly leaders in America will realized there will never be a break in the conflict we have against the forces of darkness. But light always dispels the darkness.
Prayer Focus #2: Baasha patiently eliminated opposition to what was right and godly. He eliminated opposition to what was right and godly. He eliminated future challenges to righteousness. Pray that out leaders will have the strength and tenacity to stay in the battle and do that which will keep our nation on a godly trajectory for years to come.
Prayer Focus #3: It was according to God’s Word through His servant that helped guide the king. Pray that our leaders will know the Bible and follow its instruction about life and the path of blessing for our land.
