Sunday, November 18, 2018 “Who Is the Troubler?”

1 Kings 18:16-18 So Obadiah went to meet Ahab and told him; and Ahab went to meet Elijah. 17 Then it happened, when Ahab saw Elijah, that Ahab said to him, “Is that you, O troubler of Israel?” 18 And he answered, “I have not troubled Israel, but you and your father’s house have, in that you have forsaken the commandments of the LORD and have followed the Baals.
Good evening and welcome to the Sunday Night Edition of “We are the People” prayer for America. Every Sunday we bring together the hearts of intercessors that choose to invest a minimum of 15 minutes in prayers of agreement between the hours of 6 and 9 pm using the three focus points listed below as a guide. May God bless you for your concern for America’s future expressed in prayer tonight. We encourage you to join us in prayer and invite others to join us.
Obadiah pushed past his fears and met with Ahab the king to tell him that the Prophet Elijah was in town and wanted to meet with him. The message from heaven was “you have troubled Israel.”
Prayer Focus #1: Pray that our president and other leaders will continue to receive godly counsel as we navigate troubled waters in America created by people who have forsaken God’s commandments and have turned to human wisdom.
Prayer Focus #2: King Ahab accused Elijah of troubling Israel. There are some who blame the Jewish people and Christians for the many problems facing America today. Pray that those false accusations will fall powerless and that truth will be revealed as to who is responsible for the difficult times we find ourselves in.
Prayer Focus #3: We have seen true patriots in America fail to confront those who would attempt to fundamentally change who we are as a people according to our Constitution and Bill of Rights. Pray that people who are godly men and women who understand who we are as a people will not be intimidated by those who would mislead uninformed people with deceptive words. Also, pray that just as Elijah pressed past all fears and spoke the truth we will do the same to friends, family and strangers as God leads.
