Sunday May 12, 2019 “Ben-Hadad Slipped through His Hand”

1 Kings 20:42-43- Then he said to him, “Thus says the Lord: ‘Because you have let slip out of your hand a man whom I appointed to utter destruction, therefore your life shall go for his life, and your people for his people.’  So the king of Israel went to his house sullen and displeased, and came to Samaria.
Good evening and welcome to the Sunday night edition of “We are the People” prayer for America.  Every Sunday we bring together the hearts of intercessors that choose to invest a minimum of 15 minutes in prayers of agreement between the hours of 6:00 and 9:00p.m. using the three focus points listed below as a guide.  May God bless you for your concern for America’s future expressed in prayer tonight.  We encourage you to join us in prayer daily and invite others to join us.
This being Mothers’ Day, let us not fail to pray for God’s grace to be upon all moms in the U.S.A.  God had designed Ben-Hadad would be taken out, but Ahab like King Saul who spared a heathen king disobeyed the Word of the Lord.  It is always dangerous to know what God requires and refuse to obey His command.
Prayer Focus #1  The Prophet did not fear delivering a Word from Heaven.  PRAY that those who are near to our National leaders will have no fear in dealing with those in D.C. sharing all that they should concerning Biblical Truth and what America must do in these pivotal times of human history.
Prayer Focus #2  A steep penalty was attached to the lack of obedience by the King of Israel.  PRAY that there will be a healthy fear of the Lord in the lives of our leaders that will motivate them to listen to heaven’s mandate and follow it’s command.  That will bring blessing to America.
Prayer Focus #3  The King realized what he had done by not destroying Ben-Hadad and it took a toll on him.  PRAY that our leaders will feel the spiritual impact when they “miss the mark” and, if possible, go back and obey the Lord.
