Sunday August 4, 2019 “Battle Casualties”

1 Kings 22:35-  The battle increased that day; and the king was propped up in his chariot, facing the Syrians, and died at evening. The blood ran out from the wound onto the floor of the chariot.
Good evening and welcome to the Sunday night edition of “We are the People” prayer for America.  Every Sunday we bring together the hearts of intercessors that choose to invest a minimum of 15 minutes in prayers of agreement between the hours of 6:00 and 9:00p.m. using the three focus points listed below as a guide.  May God bless you for your concern for America’s future expressed in prayer tonight.  We encourage you to join us in prayer daily and invite others to join us.
King Ahab started the fight with the Syrians and he met his demise in the battle even though he tried to avoid the inevitable for God’s word says, “The soul that sinneth it shall die.”
Prayer Focus #1: The battle increased. Not to be fatalistic but Jesus said that before the end of time- evil will become worse. He also said that the good people will become better. This is to raise up a standard against the increase of evil in the land. Pray that the people of God will rise up in faith, ready themselves for battle and overcome through the blood of Christ, the word of our testimony and doing right things and living righteously before our fellow Americans.
Prayer Focus #2: King Ahab was “propped up” in the chariot (his vehicle of war) looking as though he was in the battle but he was dying. Pray that people who are “propping up” others who have ideas in government and courts that are contrary to God’s word and our constitution will see the contradiction and cease support or (prop up) ideas and people not worthy of support.
Prayer Focus #3: We are told that Ahab died. Pray that political parties in America will let some things die in their platforms that are not good for America and our future.
