Sunday October 27, 2019 “The Right Support”

2 Kings 3:6-7 So King Jehoram went out of Samaria at that time and mustered all Israel. 7 Then he went and sent to Jehoshaphat king of Judah, saying, “The king of Moab has rebelled against me. Will you go with me to fight against Moab?”
And he said, “I will go up; I am as you are, my people as your people, my horses as your horses.”

Good evening and welcome to the Sunday Night Edition of “We are the People” prayer for America. Every Sunday we bring together the hearts of intercessors that choose to invest a minimum of 15 minutes in prayers of agreement between the hours of 6 and 9 p.m. using the three focus points listed below as a guide. May God bless you for your concern for America’s future expressed in prayer tonight. We encourage you to join us in prayer daily and invite others to join us.

There was a transition of kings in Israel and challenge came to Jehoram’s rule. Jehoram first went to his own people then he spoke to those who were friendly toward his administration and he won their support. Let us learn from this situation and pray for cooperation in our divided nation.
Prayer focus #1 Jehoram first gathered Israel – those most closely aligned with his government. Pray that God’s people will seek the heart of God and align themselves with leaders who are most closely aligned with the Word of God in their policies.
Prayer Focus #2 Pray that just as Moab was identified as an enemy of Israel, the true enemy of Capitalism and democracy be revealed as the true enemy of enemy of what America stands for.
Prayer Focus #3 Jehosephat was found to be agreeable to fight against Moab the common enemy of Israel and Judah. Pray that those on the right side will join together to stop the enemy of righteousness and that godly leaders will find those who can be won as allies in the fight against division and strife that is coming against our nation.
