Sunday March 8, 2020 “A Great Supply”

2 Kings 4:42-44 42 Then a man came from Baal Shalisha, and brought the man of God bread of the firstfruits, twenty loaves of barley bread, and newly ripened grain in his knapsack. And he said, “Give it to the people, that they may eat.” 43 But his servant said, “What? Shall I set this before one hundred men?” He said again, “Give it to the people, that they may eat; for thus says the Lord: ‘They shall eat and have some left over.’ ” 44 So he set it before them; and they ate and had some left over, according to the word of the Lord.

Good evening and welcome to the Sunday Night Edition of “We are the People” Prayer for America. Every Sunday we bring together the hearts of intercessors that choose to invest a minimum of 15 minutes in prayers of agreement between the hours of 6:00p.m. and 9:00p.m. using the three focus points listed below as a guide. May God bless you for your concern for America’s future expressed in prayer tonight. We encourage you to join us in prayer daily and invite others to join us.

The man of Baal Shalisha was a generous man who gave the “first-fruits” not the leftovers toward the work of God. When Elisha’s servant saw the gift, he felt there would not be enough for the entire school to eat. The man who gave the gift said to give to those who are hungry – they shall eat and have leftovers.

Prayer Focus #1 “Give it to the people.” Don’t keep what God gives us to share. PRAY that we will see that God’s blessings and revelation must be shared with others if the climate of faith will change in America.
Prayer Focus #2 PRAY that a spirit of faith will come to us all so we will gladly release what we have so that God can multiply back to us from His endless supply.
Prayer Focus #3 The miracle of abundant supply did not happen because of religious pattern but as v.44 reveals, “according to the Word of the Lord.” PRAY that we will grow in the area of knowing the voice of God and respond to it no matter who the human vessel may be. This word of provision did not come from Elisha but God spoke through the man of Baal Shalisha.
