Sunday March 15, 2020 “A Young Girls Faith”

2 Kings 5:2-3 And the Syrians had gone out on raids, and had brought back captive a young girl from the land of Israel. She waited on Naaman’s wife. 3 Then she said to her mistress, “If only my master were with the prophet who is in Samaria! For he would heal him of his leprosy.”

Good evening and welcome to the Sunday Night Edition of “We are the People” Prayer for America. Every Sunday we bring together the hearts of intercessors that choose to invest a minimum of 15 minutes in prayers of agreement between the hours of 6:00p.m. and 9:00p.m. using the three focus points listed below as a guide. May God bless you for your concern for America’s future expressed in prayer tonight. We encourage you to join us in prayer daily and invite others to join us.

This nameless young girl had an answer to the dilemma Naaman’s family found itself in. The entire nation was affected by the health issue of Naaman. Behind the scene and despite the circumstances of the young girl a spirit of faith was beginning to make room for the unfolding of a miracle that would impact both family and the nation of Syria.
Prayer Focus #1 The young girl had been taken captive during the Syrian raid. She was taken from her country and her family. She was even taken away from her worship of God but she never forgot the power of God and His prophet Elisha.
Pray that God will stir up people both young and old to rise up during these critical times in a spirit of faith necessary to meet the many challenges of health issues and health care costs in America.
Prayer Focus #2 This young girl was Naaman’s wife’s servant. She must have been content in her current state. For God uses people who met the criteria of godliness with contentment. Pray that God’s people will find a place of contentment in their current state and that they will always be ready to be used of God to bring blessing to those they serve.
Prayer Focus #3 This young girl not only had great faith despite her circumstances she also spoke freely what she believed. She told her mistress, “If Naaman went to the Prophet Elisha in Samaria he would be healed.” No if ands or buts. It shall be done. Pray that those in America who are Christ-followers will boldly declare answers from God’s Word concerning those things that are troubling our nation.
