Sunday April 19, 2020 “Gehazi’s Failings”

2 Kings 5:24 When he came to the citadel, he took them from their hand, and stored them away in the house; then he let the men go, and they departed.

Good evening and welcome to the Sunday Night Edition of “We are the People” Prayer for America. Every Sunday we bring together the hearts of intercessors that choose to invest a minimum of 15 minutes in prayers of agreement between the hours of 6:00p.m. and 9:00p.m. using the three focus points listed below as a guide. May God bless you for your concern for America.

Gehazi and the two servants came to the citadel (the hill) with the silver and clothing given to them by Naaman the Syrian captain who was healed of leprosy. It was a token of gratitude unto the Prophet Elisha for being used by God to bring healing to his life.
Prayer Focus #1 Gehazi got to the top of the hill where he desired to be and took what the servants carried there. Gehazi was all for himself; Pray that we will not have people of influence like Gehazi posturing for position on the backs of people who are doing the heavy lifting during this Corona Virus we are experiencing in America today.
Prayer Focus #2 Gehazi stored the goods in the house where he alone could profit. Let us pray tonight that those who are searching for cures or vaccine for the Covid-19 will not practice profiteering when our world is suffering so much under the weight of this disease.
Prayer Focus #3 Gehazi “used” the two servants and then he let the men go. Pray that people, especially first responders and all medical professionals, will not be tossed aside after the Covid-19 crisis ends.
