Sunday June 7, 2020 “Open the Blind Eyes”
2 Kings 6:20 So it was, when they had come to Samaria, that Elisha said, “LORD, open the eyes of these men, that they may see.” And the LORD opened their eyes, and they saw; and there they were, inside Samaria!
Good evening and welcome to the Sunday Night Edition of “We are the People” Prayer for America. Every Sunday we bring together the hearts of intercessors that choose to invest a minimum of 15 minutes in prayers of agreement between the hours of 6:00p.m. and 9:00p.m. using the three focus points listed below as a guide. May God bless you for your concern for America.
Elisha had a double portion of the Spirit that was upon Elijah. Elisha prayed and the eyes of his enemy were blind and he prayed again and their eyes were opened. New Testament saints who have the Baptism in the Holy Spirit have received the double portion of the Spirit.
Prayer Focus #1 2 Corinthians 4:4 tells us that Satan has blinded the eyes of those who have not received Jesus and the Gospel from heaven. The Prophet Elisha prayed and the eyes of the enemy forces were blinded and rendered powerless against the Kingdom of God and His people. Pray that their blinders will be broken from off of the eyes of those who are working the unfruitful works of darkness in America. Pray that people who desire justice will see that it is mercy we all need and leave the justice up to God and the judicial system in America. The Apostle left things in the hands of the Roman government and he accomplished God’s will through it all.
Prayer Focus #2 God answered Elisha prayers. Pray that the cry of the righteous will be heard in heaven and there will be change in the hearts of all Americans on all sides of the issues we face today.
Prayer Focus #3 The Syrian Army with open eyes could see that they were now in a place where God needed them to be. They needed to learn some lessons and they would do that in Samaria which is the last place they wanted to be. Pray that God’s people will have opportunity to speak into the lives of those who are confused and lack clear direction as to what they can do to truly help the situation in our land.
