We Are The People

2 Kings 7:9-11 Then they said to one another, “We are not doing right. This day is a day of good news, and we remain silent. If we wait until morning light, some punishment will come upon us. Now therefore, come, let us go and tell the king’s household.” 10 So they went and called to the gatekeepers of the city, and told them, saying, “We went to the Syrian camp, and surprisingly no one was there, not a human sound—only horses and donkeys tied, and the tents intact.” 11 And the gatekeepers called out, and they told it to the king’s household inside.

Good evening and welcome to the Sunday Night Edition of “We are the People” Prayer for America. Every Sunday we bring together the hearts of intercessors that choose to invest a minimum of 15 minutes in prayers of agreement between the hours of 6:00p.m. and 9:00p.m. using the three focus points listed below as a guide. May God bless you for your concern for America.

The four leprous men realized in v.9 they had come upon a miracle. God had caused the enemy of God’s people to hear some sounds like a large army coming their way. The result was they all ran for their lives.
When the lepers came to the enemy camp and realized that an “invisible” battle scattered the Syrian army, they went into the camp and realized the great blessing left behind.
At first the 4 men feasted on some of the plunder and then they hid the silver, gold and clothing for their own. Then as v.9 says they were struck with guilt. They needed to share the blessing with others. The four concluded they needed to get a message to their king that relief had come miraculously by virtue of a miracle. This brings us to our 3 points for prayer this evening.
Prayer Focus #1 The 4 lepers went back to the place where they had once begged for a penny. They now came with a message of abundant blessing available to the entire city. Not only had the enemy scattered, the besiegement by Syria that brought famine to their city was now ended with the disbandment of their army.
Pray tonight that those who understand the finality of the victory of the cross will share the story with others who can get the report to those in authority like what happened when the lepers told the gate keepers who told the King’s household the story of a great “God victory” in this amazing miraculous story.
Prayer Focus #2 v.10 tells us that the lepers’ report included there was not even the sound of any humans to be heard. Pray that all negative, lying voices of the enemy will be stopped so that the truth of the work of God in restoring America to health, financial security and peace to our streets will be heard, received and experienced by all Americans.
Prayer Focus #3 What we see in these verses is the truth that there are proper channels that reach to the top where action can be taken that will result in amazing victories in life.
Pray that those individuals and companies who come up with ways to stop the pandemic we face will not be hindered in getting their information to people who have access to higher levels of decision makers. In the Book of Nehemiah everyone helped one another and the mission was accomplished.
