We Are The People

2 Kings 7:17 Now the king had appointed the officer on whose hand he leaned to have charge of the gate. But the people trampled him in the gate, and he died, just as the man of God had said, who spoke when the king came down to him.

Good evening and welcome to the Sunday Night Edition of “We are the People” Prayer for America. Every Sunday we bring together the hearts of intercessors that choose to invest a minimum of 15 minutes in prayers of agreement between the hours of 6:00p.m. and 9:00p.m. using the three focus points listed below as a guide. In this case we easily find points for prayer but of course the situation of the word of the Lord spoken that the man at the gate would die and not receive the blessings of provision via miracle will be a little stretch tonight but here goes.

Prayer Focus #1 We are told that the king appointed the officer who was very close to him. Pray that God will grant supernatural wisdom to our president as to who he chooses to be in key positions as advisors during this very challenging season we find ourselves in.
Prayer Focus #2 Those appointed to key positions must be watchful like the ancient gate keepers. Pray that the President’s cabinet and key advisors will be responsible and accountable to the president and others they report to. Watchmen were expected to be very loyal and alert so please pray for those kind of national “gate keepers” for America.
Prayer Focus #3 How awful – the man was trampled at the gate That my friend is not much different than our brave federal and local law enforcement officers being mistreated in major cities in America. Pray that those “out of control, misguided people” will be dealt with according to the rule of law and that governors and mayors will step up to end the chaos created by these lawbreakers.
